Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y su influencia en la enseñanzaaprendizaje de Estudios Sociales de quinto grado, Escuela Municipal “Ecológica”, periodo 2024-2025

The Curricular Integration Project titled: Project-Based Learning and its Influence on the Teaching and Learning of Social Studies in Fifth Grade, “Ecológica” Municipal School, 2024- 2025 Period, has the general objective of determining the influence of Project-Based Learning (PBL) on the teaching and learning process of fifth-grade Social Studies students at the “Ecológica” Municipal School. The aim is to enhance their educational process through methodological strategies such as PBL, enabling students to learn and effectively apply what they have learned in class. This descriptive research adopts a mixed approach and a nonexperimental design. The theoretical framework addresses selected topics related to ProjectBased Learning and the teaching and learning of Social Studies. During the research process, scientific, analytical, synthetic, descriptive, and statistical methods were employed. Information was gathered through interviews with the teacher, and an initial assessment was applied to students to diagnose their learning in Block 2, titled: "Humans in Space," from the Social Studies subject. The study population consists of one teacher and nineteen fifth-grade “A” students from the “Ecológica” Municipal School. Initial results highlight the need for improvement actions, as a significant percentage of students are close to meeting the required learning outcomes, while another percentage fails to meet them, showing difficulties in their learning process in Social Studies. To address this, an alternative guideline was designed: "Discovering Our Space: A Small Step for Students, a Giant Leap for Their Learning." It is concluded that Project-Based Learning promotes an active and participatory approach, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real and meaningful contexts
