Manual de calidad según la Norma ISO 15189 para el Laboratorio de Microbiología del Área de la Salud Humana de la Universidad Nacional de Loja.

The quality manual for the microbiology teaching laboratory of the faculty of human health of the national university of Loja was designed and developed during the period September 2016 - February 2017, with the purpose of contributing to the good functioning of the same and to the possibility of that in the future the laboratory will contribute to the accreditation of the careers of the faculty. A field investigation was applied for the collection of information, which allowed the diagnosis of the current situation of the same about the fulfillment of the requirements established by ISO 15189: 2009, in which it obtained a percentage of 41.43% compliance. Once the analysis of the documentation and training with which the laboratory has been carried out, the necessary documents for a Quality Management System were analyzed, applying international instruments, techniques and standards such as ISO 15189: 2009. The documentation collected includes: • Quality manual where the quality policy and the instructions for the functions of the different people who work in this laboratory are defined. • Biosecurity manual, specific for the activities of the microbiology laboratory. • Manual of procedures and microbiological tests. Established and structured each of these documents were delivered and disseminated to the authorities and personnel involved, emphasizing the importance of the immediate application of them to start a Quality Management System within the practical activities that take place in the Teaching Laboratory of Microbiology.
