Factores de riesgo y abordaje terapéutico de las cervicovaginitis por bacterias, trichomona y cándida en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital Isidro Ayora

Cervicovaginitis is an infection that can be caused by bacteria, parasites and fungi, and it principally affects childbearing age women. The main factors for the appearance of this pathology are; unprotected sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, hygiene habits as vaginal douching or the use of intrauterine device The main objective of this research work was to determine what are the risk factors and therapeutic approach to cervical vaginitis caused by bacteria, Trichomonas and Candida in childbearing age women treated at the Gynecology outpatient department at Isidro Ayora Hospital. This research work is quantitative, descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional. This allowed us to know the reality of the posed problem, besides the technique used was a survey applied to patients attended at the Gynecology outpatient department at Isidro Ayora Hospital, and the analysis of medical records of patients. It was found that risk factors in this patients were have had several sexual partners with 52,95%, the use of public bathrooms that represents 39,70%, and the use of oral contraceptives with 35,29%, the drug most commonly used in the treatment of cervicovaginitis by G. vaginalis and T. vaginalis was oral metronidazole while for that produced by Candida was fluconazole, and the most frequently age in wich the infection presents is between 30 – 39 years old, that represents the 35,29%.
