الملخص:Themain objectivesof this research are: to determine the predisposing factors of cystocele in women who were medically treated at Isidro Ayora Regional Hospital in 2014. To assess which age group is more predisposed to cystocele. To determinewhat degree of cystocele is more frequent in patients treated at the outpatient department of the Isidro AyoraRegional Hospital. To establish the most frequent predisposing factor in women who are treated at the outpatient department of the Isidro AyoraRegional Hospital. The data of the clinical records of patientswho were diagnosed with Cystocele at the outpatient department of gynecology of the aforementioned Hospital in the city of Loja (Ecuador), and who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, were collected duringthe period January to June 2014. The study was descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional, which included 66 patients agedbetween 20 to 65 years. Data was processed in a database created in Excel, using tables for the analysis. Predisposing factors and the degree of cystocele were analyzed. One of the main discoveries was that the frequency of predisposing factors among the studiedpopulation presented the following: vaginal delivery91%; moderate physical activity 73%; obesity 47%; multiparous mothers 47%; patients aged between 51 to 65 years41%; menopause 38%, family history 24%; surgical history 17%; constipation 14%; chronic cough 5% and grade II cystocele 52%.
