Čoahkkáigeassu:Hepatitis A is an acute viral disease of worldwide distribution transmitted mainly by direct contact with infected people or ingestion of contaminated food and water, it is caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), whose incidence is higher in geographical areas with poor hygienicsanitary conditions. The purpose of this research was to determine the epidemiological behavior according to sex, age groups, place of origin and climatic season of Hepatitis A in the canton of Loja from 2013 to 2022, in order to propose an educational proposal framed in prevention. A mixed, cross-sectional and analytical approach was applied, the sample consisted of 950 confirmed cases of hepatitis A, whose information was obtained from the Epidemiological Gazettes of the Ministry of Public Health reported by the National University of Loja. The results obtained show that: males presented the highest number of cases with 54.4% in relation to females, the most affected group was 5-9 years old with 42.2%, and the urban area had the highest percentage of cases with 90.42%. In the trend graphs it was determined that in 2014 there was a greater number of infections with predominance in men with 18.63% and women with 15.37%, being the most affected group of 5-9 years with 13.9%, however, in recent years a decrease in the number of cases was observed being the most affected between 15-19 years with 0.3%, also the dry season and cold temperature accounted for 51.7%. Finally, an audiovisual resource for digital dissemination was elaborated to cover the main characteristics of the disease and its preventive measures
