On the other hand, during the sampling information was obtained information regarding the following variables: origin, race, age, age group, which possible associated factors were considered. 5.42 % of animals were positive in the rose bengal test, however no sample was confirmed by ELISA, so the analysis could not be carried out to establish factors associates. Key words: bovine brucellosis, abortion, zoonosis, immunodiagnosisLa brucelosis bovina es una enfermedad infecciosa causada por Brucella abortus, cocoide Gram negativo que afecta principalmente a los bovinos y secundariamente a otras especies animales (en orden decreciente de susceptibilidad puede extenderse a: ovinos, caprinos, equinos, y caninos) y a los humanos. La presente investigacio´ n tuvo como fin determinar la seroprevalencia y los factores asociados de brucelosis bovina en el canto´ n el Pangui provincia de Zamora Chinchipe; se procesaron 166 muestras sangu´ıneas segu´ n los protocolos de la Agencia de Regulacio´ n y Control Fito y Zoo- sanitario (AGROCALIDAD), por lo que se aplicaron las técnicas serolo´ gicas Rosa de Bengala y ELISA de competicio´ n. Por otra parte, durante el muestreo se obtuvo informacio´ n respecto a las siguientes variables: raza, procedencia, taman˜ o de predio, tipo de la explotacio´ n, nu´ mero de partos, tipo de reproduccio´ n, presencia de abortos en el u´ ltimo an˜ o, infertilidad y partos prematuro.
