要約:The present research entitled Influence of Cultural Patterns in Domestic Violence in Women who come to the Spaces Foundation of the City of Loja, responds to a global problem that is that gender-based violence constitutes a social problem of great magnitude , the INEC informs that 6 out of 10 Ecuadorian women of 15 or more years have suffered one or more physical, psychological, sexual or patrimonial aggressions, due to the fact of being women, in this case the "Spaces Foundation" being an institution of private legal status with a social nature that provides assistance to all women who have suffered from some type of violence. In this regard, the purpose of the research is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the users who come to this foundation, through the proposal of preventive action, for the creation of critical awareness about the problem. The specific objectives made possible the scientific argumentation of the object of study, the identification of cultural patterns that influence intrafamily violence, in order to design a social research proposal that has a participatory approach. To validate the knowledge acquired during the whole process, the scientific method was used, assisted by auxiliary methods such as inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic, which allowed to fulfill the stated objectives; starting with the scientific support of the categories of analysis such as cultural patterns, violence, intrafamily violence, types of violence and intervention of social work, making possible the justification of work in view of its theoretical value, practical utility and social relevance . The main findings derived from the analysis of the 30 interviews applied to the users who come to the foundation spaces determine that the cultural patterns that influence intrafamily violence are patriarchy, machismo, violence in general, custom and the roles that are handled 5 within the home, which directly affects the quality of life of users who suffer from domestic violence and even in the general public, given that violence produces physical, psychological effects. Thus, from the perspective of the social work professional a proposal is presented aimed at informing, recreating and sensitizing the social group, through joint efforts of public and private institutions, as well as citizen participation.
