Music facilitates communication between individuals, beyond words, making it possible to share feelings and meanings, promoting cultural development and a sense of belonging among communities. Over time, as a result of globalization, musical preferences have become alienated and, as a result of this process, preference is given to foreign rhythms, causing the disregard of traditional musical rhythms that are part of the cultural identity of a given place. Therefore, the objective of this research contributed to the local compositional development through the creation of a musical rhapsody incorporating elements of Ecuadorian genres such as the yaraví, the danzante and the sanjuanito. Within the present Curricular Integration Work, it was channeled from a qualitative methodological approach whose non-experimental design was supported by artistic research, the results were based on the sound discrimination of Ecuadorian musical genres, whose inputs allowed the conception of the artistic product. The musical composition in rhapsody format, incorporates the traditional elements of the musical genres mentioned above, integrated in a free way taking into account: the melodic bases such as the use of pentaphony, mishky note, harmonics and rhythmic variations typical of Ecuadorian music. From this material it is estimated to strengthen the compositional field and the cultural identity through interpretation. It is thus defined as a conclusive part of this study, in which it is mentioned that Ecuadorian music has interesting elements that allow in a free and dynamic way to carry out a compositional process, whose range of musical possibilities allow future generations to bet on this type of composition. La música, facilita la comunicación entre los individuos, más allá de las palabras posibilitando compartir sentimientos y significados, promoviendo el desarrollo cultural y el sentido de pertenencia entre las comunidades. A través del tiempo en base a la globalización las preferencias musicales se han ido alienando y, como resultado de este proceso se da preferencia a ritmos extranjeros, provocando el desconocimiento de los ritmos musicales tradicionales que forman parte de la identidad cultural de un determinado lugar. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación contribuyó al desarrollo compositivo local mediante la creación de una rapsodia musical incorporando elementos de los géneros ecuatorianos como el yaraví, el danzante y el sanjuanito. Dentro del presente Trabajo de Integración Curricular se canalizó desde un enfoque metodológico cualitativo cuyo diseño no experimental estuvo apoyado en la investigación artística, los resultados se volcaron en la discriminación sonora de los géneros musicales ecuatorianos, cuyos insumos permitieron la concepción del producto artístico. La composición musical en formato rapsodia, incorpora los elementos tradicionales de los géneros musicales antes mencionados, integrados de manera libre tomando en cuenta: las bases melódicas como el uso de la pentafonía, mishky note, las armónicas y las variaciones rítmicas propias de la música ecuatoriana. A partir de este material se estima fortalecer el ámbito compositivo y la identidad cultural a través de la interpretación. Se define así, como parte concluyente del presente estudio, en la cual se menciona que la música ecuatoriana posee elementos interesantes que permiten de manera libre y dinámica llevar a cabo un proceso compositivo, cuyo abanico de posibilidades musicales permiten a las futuras generaciones apostar por este tipo de composición.
