Тойм:The objective of the research is to evaluate the pre-feasibility of creating a company for the production and commercialization of corn cookies in the Macará canton, province of Loja. A simple methodology was employed using surveys and direct observation to collect data and describe behaviors of families in the urban area of Macará using statistical and inductive methods, in addition to bibliographic compilation techniques. The market study revealed an unsatisfied demand of 92,713 packages of corn crackers in the first year. The proposed commercial plan includes advertising on local television and Facebook, and distribution of the product through neighborhood stores and supermarkets, seeking to effectively penetrate the market and satisfy demand. The project aims to satisfy 69,333 packages of corn crackers annually, reaching a 74.36% share in the first year. The company will be incorporated as a sole proprietorship. The financial study determined a total investment of US$13,612.16, 62.53% financed with equity and 37.47% with a microcredit from BANECUADOR. The financial evaluation showed positive results, with a net present value of 13,395.75 USD and an internal rate of return of 58.41%, higher than the opportunity cost of 16%. The benefit-cost ratio indicated a return of 0.18 USD for each dollar invested and a payback period of 1 year, 9 months and 11 days. The sensitivity analysis showed that the project can withstand a 5.42% increase in costs and a 4.59% decrease in revenues, demonstrating its soundness. In conclusion, the studies carried out confirm the feasibility of the project, supporting the creation and commercialization of corn cookies in the Macará canton.
