| Resumo: | It has been shown through the years that people attending as patients of Oral Surgery To the Dentistry departments usually they have had complications with the anesthetic, either by a bad choice, missing, or extra turn by misapplication of the same, The evidence for this comes from different studies have shown the presence of these complications (Parrales G. E., 2014). In order to determine if complications arise cases describe proposed frequent complications caused by local anesthetics in surgical treatments in the dental clinic of the National University of Loja and to fulfill this objective an observation guide was performed in 80 cases of tooth extractions in which treatments before surgery local anesthetic was applied; the patient about his experience also met with anesthetics, to determine the presence of infection at the puncture site of the anesthetic and the persistence of anesthesia were interviewed and observed the patient after 8 days of application, the result being that the most frequent complication is pain with 26 cases corresponding to 70%; followed by hematoma with 22 cases equivalent to 59%; intravascular injection with 15 cases accounting for 40%; infection at the puncture site had 4 cases equivalent to 10%; for the presentation of results, statistical programs use Microsoft Office Excel 2016.
