Recursos educativos digitales en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de Ciencias Naturales en octavo grado de la Unidad Educativa 18 de Noviembre

This research project examines the influence of digital educational resources (DER) on the teaching and learning process in Natural Sciences for eighth-grade students at the "18 de Noviembre" Educational Institution in Sozoranga, Loja Province, during the 2024-2025 academic year. The specific objectives focus on establishing theoretical references, evaluating the impact of digital educational resources, and creating a practical guide to support their application in classroom settings. The research adopts a mixed methods approach with a non- experimental, correlational design. It uses analytical-synthetic, deductive, descriptive, and documentary analysis methods to organize and interpret the collected data. The data are gathered through surveys conducted with 18 students and an interview with the Natural Sciences teacher. The study used a convenience-based, non-probabilistic sampling method, with a structured questionnaire and an interview guide as the primary data collection tools. The results indicate that, although students have a positive perception of the use of digital resources, such as educational videos and interactive platforms, their integration in the classroom is limited, with a low frequency of use. This suggests that while digital resources hold significant potential to improve learning outcomes, their effective integration is impeded by challenges such as limited access to technology, inadequate infrastructure, and the necessity for enhanced teacher training. Based on these findings, it is concluded that digital educational resources significantly improve student comprehension and motivation. However, their use is sporadic, emphasizing the need for comprehensive teacher training and a more structured integration into classroom settings. Consequently, a comprehensive guide to digital educational resources was designed to support their effective integration into the eighth-grade Natural Sciences teaching and learning process.
