| Shrnutí: | Street trade is an alternative that offers the greatest possibilities of living for people who make the informal economy their way of life. Often, this sector is discriminated against not only about the way of doing business but also the association with poverty and decadence as people. Therefore, this research focuses its effort to study the street trade in the city of Loja, in the year 2021. So that the research was a field, descriptive and qualitative supported by deductive and inductive methods since the socio-economic conditions were identified, the line of business was segmented and a proposal was developed to improve the living conditions of the 381 street vendors, the study sample, estimated with 5% and 95% level of error and significance, respectively. The main results suggest that the informal trading activity in Loja is represented mostly by the female gender, with primary schooling; in addition, it was determined that 20.50% of the merchants are engaged in fast food stands and 18.50% in clothing selling. On the other hand, the dissemination of the improvement proposal through a didactic guide was well received by informal merchants, as evidenced by the application of the questionnaire to evaluate the acceptance and understanding of the guide. |
