Sažetak:Drying outdoors is a typical practice in Ecuador, conducted mainly by exposing their products to the sun by placing them on the floor. This drying process produces losses and decreases the quality of dried product. Faced with this problem, the solar dryer hot air convection is an efficient solution to this problem that allows the conservation of the properties of agricultural products, protection against environmental pollution and insect attack during the drying process. It bases its operation using a flat plate collector, which allows air circulation by the temperature difference between the various pieces of equipment that promote thermal convection of air. This thesis defines the parameters of design, automation and operation of solar dryer hot air convection, then it has been built and monitored.
