| Sumario: | ABSTRACT In the Atahualpa canton, the generation of accurate, reliable and updated information at a detailed scale that allows adequate planning, use and local territorial management is extremely important, so under this argument the Survey of Geomorphological Units at a scale of 1: 10,000 of Paccha parish, Atahualpa canton, El Oro province, as a contribution of information for the development plans and land use of the parish and canton. The survey of geomorphological units is based on the conceptualization of quantitative geomorphology, which describes three-dimensional bodies that have shape, size, volume and topography, that is, the elements that generate a relief; recognizing its importance as one of the factors that control the distribution of ecosystems at multiple scales. For the adequate definition, modeling, delineation and visualization of geomorphological units, topographic indices (shading, slope, curvature in profile, plan, longitudinal, transversal and maximum and minimum curvature) were generated from a digital territory model, with the which was carried out an automatic Isodata Unsupervised classification, using semi-automatic techniques; processed in the ENVI 5.3 software, and with the help of filters that allowed to improve the definition of the morphometry of the study area, list to assign different attributes. Additional information is complemented with information on land use, slopes, geology, 3D interpretation, as well as field validations and revalidations. |
