Резюме:This research was carried out in the cantons of Loja, Catamayo and Saraguro, identified where relict wooded Cinchona officinalis L., floristic composition and structure of vegetation associated with the growth of the species habitat, was developed from the month of April of the year 2015 until January 2016. The identification of the areas was undertaken based on bibliographic information about works in the province of Loja, where you register the presence of quinine, botanical records in the Herbarium Reinaldo Espinosa; and field tours conducted in the three cantons. In the canton of Loja (San-Simon and the Naque) and Saraguro, Catamayo (Uritusingta) (Selva Alegre / Sitio Santa Lucia), sampling of the species was carried out by the point method square downtown, where you registered data of DAP, height, plant health, shape of the shaft and respective coordinates. For the lifting of the composition floristry was installed three temporary transects for each study site, nested to the location of the species (point square Center) area; Thus, for the arboreal layer of 600 m2; for the shrub layer of 25 m2 (5 x 5 m); and, for the herbaceous stratum 1 m2 (1 x 1 m). We calculated the following ecological parameters: absolute density (D), (DR) relative density, relative dominance (DmR), (FR) relative frequency and importance value index. To determine the structure of the vegetation was carried out structural profiles using a transect of 20 x 30 m2, where the older individuals were registered or equal to 5 cm DAP, in distances X and Y. On the site the Naque (Malacatos, Loja), 49 individuals with diameters were recorded averages of 2,55 to 11,74 cm, in an area of 2 560,05 m2, located in part of secondary forest, shrub and herbaceous vegetation, located at an altitude of 1 883 msnm above sea level, on a pending average of 62 %. Site San Simón (Zamora Huayco-Loja), 50 individuals with diameters reported averages of 2,29 to 20,69 cm, in an area of 6 868 m2, located on agricultural land, shrubs and herbaceous, at an altitude of 2 217 msnm above sea level and pending average of 90 %. The site Uritusinga (Catamayo), 51 individuals with diameters reported averages between 1,91 to 11,78 cm, in an area of 16 868 m2, where the species grows on agricultural lands, shrub and herbaceous vegetation at an altitude of 2 438 msnm above sea level and an average slope of 81 %. Site Santa Lucia (Saraguro-Selva Alegre), 31 individuals, with diameters reported averages of 3,98 to 22,92 cm, in an area of 2 294,69 m2, located on agricultural lands, shrub and herbaceous vegetation, at an altitude of 2 744 msnm and a pending average of 40 %. In all areas of study, the vegetation associated with the highest rate of importance (IVI) in the arboreal layer value were: Rhamnus glandulosa, Clethra revoluta, Alnus acuminata, Roupala obovata, Myrsine coriaceae, Roupala pachypoda, and Myrsine andina; in the shrub layer: Miconia lutescens, Miconia cladonia, Achyrocline hallii, Rubus robustus, Tibouchina laxa and Lepecinia mutica; and, in the herbaceous stratum: Blechnum occidentale, Melinis minutiflora, Aegopogon cenchroides, Deschampsia conferta, Trisetum irazuense, Conyza canadensis, Commelina diffusa, Pteridium arachnoideum and Axonopus compressus. The horizontal profile of the vegetation introduced trees and shrubs with cups that have morphological variety, little Ravel them what causes clear. While the three vegetation strata were recorded in the vertical profile, being most abundant shrubs and herbs; In addition, the structural profiles indicate that Cinchona officinalis L, grows in a clustered manner.
