| الملخص: | The integration of participatory models within society allows the construction of important decisions for the planning and management of public affairs. The main objective of this research is to contribute to the San Antonio neighborhood of Zumba parish, Chinchipe canton, in the construction of effective solutions to address the problems that exist according to the reality of it, its fulfillment was achieved through three specific objectives: Promote the organization and neighborhood participation; Assist in the development of collective diagnoses of the problems of the neighborhood and; Support in the design of solutions to the problems identified by the community. In this research, the descriptive and analytical method has been applied, presenting the results of the field work through the application of techniques such as the mapping of actors, the observation sheet, surveys, interviews, participatory workshops with children and adults, and an exhaustive documentary search. The findings show that within the neighborhood there is a low level of participation in the solution of public problems, as well as a poor relationship between citizen-government, on the other hand, the results of the techniques allowed the prioritization of the three main problems in the neighborhood: sewage system in poor condition; existence of contamination in the streams and; roads in poor condition. Beyond these results, it was possible to determine on which rung of the ladder of participation theory the neighborhood is located, allowing to show how much participation exists within the neighborhood. The theory of governance was also used for this research, since it allows corroborating its theoretical foundations, that is, if citizens participated in decision making, there would be greater governance within the sector. |
