| Ամփոփում: | Nowadays, there are a large number of older adults with nutritional problems that generate diseases such as malnutrition, overweight and obesity, the present research aimed at: to develop an intervention strategy on eating habits in the home of older adults Daniel Álvarez Sánchez. It was a descriptive, quantitative cross-sectional and observational study, the sample was 40 older adults and 13 caregivers, direct observation was made of eating habits and nutritional status was assessed for older adults, a survey was carried out for caregivers, information processing was carried out through the SPSS v. 27 program, applying descriptive statistics, with the calculation and analysis of frequency and percentage measures determining that 75% of older adults have low weight, overweight and obesity between the male and female gender, 33.30% of overweight people do not consume proteins of high biological value, low biological value, or cereals (66.70%), those with nutritional imbalance consume 37.5% fats, 39% vegetables and 37% fruits, the doctor prepares the menu for 66.70% of overweight people, and the nutritionist for 14.30% with low weight, regarding the importance of the menu 37.5% if they have knowledge, there are also exclusive diets for 40% of older adults who have low weight, overweight and obesity, while 35% for low weight and overweight do not have it, it was concluded that older adults have a nutritional imbalance due to the lack of food necessary for their well-being, As a result, a proposal for intervention strategies to promote the application of exclusive diets for each group of older adults was developed and implemented.
