Therefore, this research aims to determine the importance and benefits of recreational mathematics in the study of trigonometry in Second Unified General Baccalaureate. Documentary research has been used, compiling and systematizing information from documentary sources using the filing technique and mixed cards. Through this, it was possible to show that recreational mathematics favors problem-solving with various benefits, and that the use of recreational activities provides contributions that enhance the teaching-learning process of trigonometry compared to traditional methods. This strategy helps create an optimal environment for the educational process, in which significant skills and abilities can be strengthened and developed in students while effectively and optimally learning trigonometry content. Key Words: Recreational mathematics, playful, learning, activities, trigonometry.La matemática recreativa es una estrategia didáctica que permite enseñar de manera lúdica y divertida, por ello esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la importancia y los beneficios de la matemática recreativa en el estudio de la trigonometría en Segundo Bachillerato General Unificado. Se ha utilizado una investigación de tipo documental recopilando y sistematizando información de fuentes documentales con la técnica de fichaje y fichas mixtas a través de las cuales, se pudo evidenciar que la matemática recreativa favorece con diversos beneficios a la resolución de problemas y que el uso de actividades recreativas ofrece aportes que mejoran el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de trigonometría en contraste con la resolución tradicional. Esta estrategia contribuye a generar un ambiente óptimo para el proceso educativo en el que se puede fortalecer y desarrollar habilidades y capacidades significativas en los estudiantes mientras aprenden los contenidos de trigonometría de una manera eficaz y óptima.
