Тойм: | In dairy cattle farming, it is important to understand and properly manage reproductive parameters to improve production efficiency. Therefore, this paper aimed to describe and compare the reproductive parameters in dairy cattle from the Hoya de Loja. We analyzed information from the periods: open, dry, lactation and belly of 7,531 livestock: La Cruz de Loja, Raquelita, Florida and San Isidro. The results showed that, 25.83% of specimens in the open period required a mount to get pregnant and had an average of 242.28 days; in the lactation period, the average production per day, month and adjusted to 305 days was 21.01 kg, 619 kg and 3879.40 kg respectively; while the average number of days breastfeeding was 166.78. In the dry stage, it is evident that 34.83% of cows were lactating, and the average production adjusted to 305 days was 4787.37 kg. 25.34% required a mount to become pregnant, and 76.49% remained pregnant. In the period of womb specimens, artificial insemination was mainly used 95.39%, achieving a pregnancy of 67.79%, with most of the cows pregnant after a single mount 58.72%. The performance among herds revealed that Florida had a lower average AD in cows without abortion 180.60 ±84.37 and San Isidro the highest 274.10±180.78; in terms of dairy production, San Isidro achieved the best yields per day, month and at 305 days. Finally, the shortest womb age was from La Cruz de Loja with 23.66±7.29 months. This study highlights the importance of keeping a constant record of the productive and reproductive processes of dairy cattle to improve their industrialization systems and strengthen the region's livestock industry. |
