Summary:This research " The Technology and Communication and its Application in the Process of Teaching – Learning in the Natural Sciences area, at the Girls and Boys of Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Grades level Basic of the primary school " Filomena Rojas Ocampo " Neighborhood Bologna Parish Sucre, of Loja city, at academic year 2012 - 2013 " , aimed determine the relationship between the application of Technologies and Communication Information, in the education process thus improving learning processes in the natural sciences. for its development was necessary the use of the scientific method, descriptive method; analytical - synthetics theoretical and deductive method who contributed to the research development allowing to know, concretely, the investigation problem. They also helped to distinguish elements of the phenomenon and proceed to check each of them for further analysis. It was necessary to use the structured interview and the poll, with their respective instruments: structured interview guide and questionnaire, which were applied to the headmistress, teachers and students, of the aforementioned school. After the systematization and interpretation of the results, we concluded that institution teachers didn´t use appropriately the ICT in teaching - learning in the area of Natural Sciences, so it is recommended to principals and teachers of the institution, be trained in appropriate forms in the management of ICT., since they constitute an indispensable tool to help the process of transferring knowledge to students.
