| Summary: | In the present investigation, the morphological and phaneroptic characterization of the Creole pig was evaluated in the cantons Chaguarpamba, Olmedo, Macara, Pin dal, Puyango, Celica, Zapotillo and Paltas were in the period 2019. A registration form was applied to collect data during field work on a sample of 25 Creole pigs, older than one year of age, of both sexes, selected by the non-probabilistic snowball method; Measurements were made using a zoometric rod, a drill compass, a tape measure and a digital scale. The phenotypic characterization included 14 zoometric measures. The main indicators of the zoometric measures variable, with their res- pective averages for all cantons were: live weight (LW) 61, 83 kg in females and 46.75 kg in males; head length (LCZ) 29.14 cm in females and 28 cm in males; head width (ACZ) 14.83 cm in females and 11.75 cm in males; croup width (AG) 16.19 cm in females and 14.50 cm in males; bicostal diameter (DB) 22.81 cm in females and 20.25 cm in males; height at the withers (AC) 58.01 cm in females and 53.75 cm in males; croup height (AG) 61.12 cm in females and 57.13 cm in males; body length (CL) 81.43 cm in females and 73 cm in males; thoracic perimeter (PT) 91.05 cm in females and 81 cm in males; ear length (LO) 18.90 cm in females and 17.25 cm in males; ear width (AO) 13.62 cm in females and 14.50 cm in males; anterior cane perimeter (PCA) 14 cm in females and 18 cm in males.
