Shrnutí:In the educational process, teacher training in methodological strategies for the learning of students with intellectual disabilities seeks to create opportunities for teachers to diversify their pedagogical practice and for students to generate significant learning. Teacher training enables the development of the professional's own competencies in the different levels and modalities of the educational system. In this context, the main objective of this study is to contribute to teacher training through the socialization of methodological strategies for the learning of students with intellectual disabilities at the Escuela de Educación Básica 18 de noviembre. This is a quantitative research with a descriptive non-experimental design; 36 teachers of General Basic Education participated. The analytical-synthetic method was used since it helps to better understand the results, that is why, for the collection of information a survey was used, which allowed to obtain more relevant data and to look for alternatives for better results. As results, it is evident that most teachers lack training in methodological strategies for students with intellectual disabilities, a situation that should be considered quickly and in a timely manner, in order to achieve a better level of learning in students. It is concluded that teacher training in methodological strategies for the learning of students with intellectual disabilities is a fundamental part of the training and allows teachers to develop different skills and abilities so that students are protagonists in the construction of their knowledge.
