Samenvatting: | The current research centers in the importance of education and knowledge that patients might have regarding diseases they have gotten and the difficulties they present; in this case the Diabetes Mellitus type two and the Diabetic Neuropathy. The researcher has emphasized how indispensable it is that the patients possess the knowledge that motivates them in order to create habits for a better control of this pathology. Establish the knowledge and treatment in patients were diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus type II and Peripheral Neuropathy at Isidro Ayora Hospital in the city of Loja, as well as getting the gener, number and place of precedence of the patients fulfillment of therapy in Diabetes Mellitus type two and the Diabetic Neuropathy patients, and; know the control that the patients use for to prevent de complication of Diabetes Mellitus type two and the Diabetic Neuropathy. The scientific method was used and the data collection was done through a test by the researcher applied to the patients; the socio-demographic data were gathered from the patients' own medical records. Is that show from all of patients who were interviewed, only the 8% knew about the pathology they were suffering about. On the other hand, the 52% of the patients accepted to comply on its totality the treatment, and only 3%of them do physical activities as part of their therapeutic treatment. For to finish we can say in the patients exist the little Knowles about Diabetes Mellitus type two and the Diabetic Neuropathy and the half of them there isn’t excellent adhesion for the therapy. |
