| Sumari: | In this research, an ex-post environmental impact study was carried out for the Jaramillo cattle ranch located in the Alamor parish, Puyango canton; information was gathered through a baseline with the characterization of the abiotic, biotic and socioeconomic components, the environmental impacts were evaluated through the application of the cause-effect matrix, with a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the impacts according to eight evaluation criteria and an improvement plan with nine sub-plans was proposed. According to the analyses carried out, in the abiotic component, water is not affected; while the soil is moderately affected; in reference to noise, the first sampling point exceeds the maximum permissible noise level (65 dB) because it is located near the road that connects the Alamor and El Limo parishes; in the flora component, the most ecologically important species is Triplaris cumingiana, and in fauna, the most abundant species are: Elanoides forficatus, Epanoides cumingiana, Elanoides forficatus, Elanoides forficatus, Elanoides forficatus and Elanoides forficatus: Elanoides forficatus, Epipedobates anthonyi, Platyrrhinus sp. The activities that generate impact in the operation phase are: weed control, pesticide application and grazing; the result obtained from the environmental impact study is moderate with a percentage of 49.47 %; a positive impact of 34.88 % is generated thanks to the socioeconomic component that contributes to the revitalization of the local economy, food security and generation of sources of jobs; in addition, there is a neutral impact of 15.66% on the atmospheric component, since one point exceeds the maximum permissible noise level and does not positively or negatively affect the environment. Finally, an environmental management plan was developed that allows for the recovery, mitigation, compensation, restoration and remediation of the impacts generated. |
