Against this phytosanitary problem, many farmers chose not to continue cultivating this fruit, due to ignorance of the causative agent and the absence of control measures to mitigate the disease. This research aims to evaluate the kinetic and interaction of different species of Fusarium., Using fungal isolates of Fusarium, which causes vascular wilt in Babaco (Vasconcellea heilbornii Var. Pentagonal), under greenhouse conditions. An experimental design was completely randomized with five treatments (T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5) and nine aftershocks, resulting inoculation 6 fungal isolates. 150 seedlings Babaco three months old, grown in sterile soil (1: 1 soil, sand and peat 2) were used. The method of inoculation was dip root, for evaluating the pathogenicity evaluation scale proposed by Veintimilla (2000) was used. The results obtained show that T2, T3, T4 and T5 treatments showed typical symptoms of Vascular Wilt Babaco (MVB). Therefore, following Koch's postulates, it was confirmed that all four treatments were able to produce a high degree of disease severity in growing Babaco |

Esta enfermedad rápidamente se diseminó a lo largo y ancho del territorio ecuatoriano, trayendo consigo pérdidas del 100% en su producción, tanto el 50% en plantas en desarrollo y 50% en plantas en producción. Frente a este problema fitosanitario, muchos agricultores optaron por no seguir cultivando este frutal, debido al desconocimiento del agente causal y la ausencia de medidas de control para mitigar la enfermedad. La presente investigación tiene como objetivos evaluar la cinética e interacción de diferentes especies de Fusarium., utilizando aislados fúngicos del género Fusarium, causante de la marchitez vascular en Babaco (Vasconcellea heilbornii Var. Pentágona), en condiciones de invernadero. Para ello se estableció un diseño experimental completamente al azar con cinco tratamientos (T1, T2, T3, T4 y T5) y nueve réplicas, resultantes de la inoculación de 6 aislados fúngicos. Se utilizaron 150 plántulas de Babaco de tres meses de edad, sembradas en sustrato estéril (2:1:1 suelo, arena y turba). El método de inoculación fue por inmersión de raíces, para la evaluación de la patogenicidad se utilizó la escala de evaluación propuestas por Veintimilla (2000). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que los tratamientos T2, T3, T4 y T5 presentaron síntomas típicos de la Marchitez Vascular del Babaco (MVB).
