In a particular way in this research it is focused the environmental pollution on an alluvial mining project in Ecuador, which I hope achieves the possible majority expectations and contributes in some way to improve the quality of life from one sector of the population in our country, which is dedicated to mining. The present thesis project entitled "Environmental Management Plan of the Opencast System in the Mining Area Bella Maria Carolina Parish, Canton Santa Rosa, Province of El Oro" is made with the purpose of preventing and mitigating the impacts generated and affect the physical, biotic and anthropic components in the exploitation phase, and through the Environmental Management Plan, propose measures on the basis of Environmental Impact Assessment and initiate evaluating a biophysical description indicators characterizing the medium. The environmental components and the actions which are generated in the project were described, that is to say, how the mining operations are going to influence the environment, and to define the areas of direct and indirect influence. And then proceed to perform an environmental analysis to identify and evaluate the environmental impacts, and recognize which are the most affected and to evaluate to what degree they do and hierarchize them developing the Environmental Management Plan consistent and effective by establishing measures for their prevention, correction, mitigation and compensation aiming to decrease the level of impacts generated by the project implementation, and enhance the positive impacts. Monitoring for assessing the damages caused to the different components was performed according to a chronogram established depending on the intensity and valuation of the estimated phases of the project and the impact that they are creating, estimating that the budget required for the execution of this Plan for Environmental Management is of $ 17,520. |
