Summary:This degree project is developed with the purpose of carrying out the study and design of a communications network for a video surveillance system and internet service for the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of the Canton Olmedo, which allows safeguarding the assets of the institution and guaranteeing the safety of officials and citizens in general, on the other hand, he internet services system, aims to design the appropriate topology and impose the most suitable technology that allows the projection of WI-FI zones in the tourist sites of the canton, complying with the guidelines presented by the technology department for its future implementation. The design of the network includes: The Municipal Palace, Municipal Shelter, Vehicle Registration and Review Center, Municipal Coliseum “Ciudad de Olmedo”, Small square “Olmedo”, Lookout hill “Santa Bárbara”, Tourist Complex “Santa Bárbara” and Municipal Stadium “Ciudad de Olmedo”. For the execution of the project, first, the information on the architectural and technological infrastructure of the municipality was collected, in order to obtain the plans of the study area and learn how the internal network is structured. Then, the design and simulation of the video surveillance and internet systems were carried out, and it was also determined that wireless links will be used for the integral connection of the system. Finally, the necessary equipment for each system was chosen, considering technical characteristics, from which the analysis of unit prices was prepared to obtain the referential budget, weekly valued schedule, volume of work and the technical memory that will be considered for future network implementation.
