Engadir etiqueta | Summary: | The present degree thesis named the "Lack of applicability of control of prison systems: a phenomenon that results in human rights problems and overcrowding in the social rehabilitation center of Loja city" is focused on develop a doctrinal and legal study on prison overcrowding and the resulting violation of the rights of persons deprived of liberty, the interest in this problem consist because in the recent years we have shown a series of riots and prison crises that have ended with the lives of hundreds of inmates. The study shows that only in Loja city the social rehabilitation center shows very high rates of prison overcrowding, altering the quality of life that people deprived of liberty lead inside these centers and putting at risk the objective of reinserting and readapting these individuals responsibly to society, In addition, we also see that this problem is caused by the poor administration of the authorities in charge of these centers, since they act outside the rules, others don't have the necessary knowledge to act in certain cases of prison crises and others are bought by the various criminal gangs who are currently in control of the prisons. In this thesis, we aplplied materials and methods that allowed the development of the research, as well as interviews and surveys to legal professionals, whose results were used to propose the relocation and reconstruction of the social rehabilitation center of Loja city as a measure to stop prison overcrowding and the violation of the constitutionally established rights of those deprived of liberty |
