Čoahkkáigeassu:This Curricular Integration Work will address several issues related to the living situation of the elderly within the prison system, considering their situation of double vulnerability and of integrating the group of priority attention as established by the Constitution of the Republic. Determining the violation of their constitutional rights, among them the right to health, food and integrity, being the most affected when living with inmates who do not belong to this group. The prison population is undoubtedly a significant and crucial issue, due to the great probability that they do not prioritize their human rights, preventing them from receiving a good and effective social rehabilitation system. Throughout the research, several methods and techniques were applied to collect quality information and meet the objectives set, as well as the application of interviews and surveys directed to legal professionals, elderly persons deprived of liberty and their families, who have the expertise on the subject, which gave an essential contribution to the problem raised and above all in providing possible solutions to ensure the integral development, through the necessary spaces for this group of priority attention, such as the creation of care centers for the elderly, where they can be safe and mobilize without fear of being victims of mistreatment and abuse, and in turn alleviate the overcrowding of the prison population.
