For this reason, this investigation determined the relationship between the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroglobulin (Tg) serum levels before and after thyroidectomy and thus the predictive value of these hormones against differentiated thyroid cancer. A retrospective, quantitative, cross-sectional group study was used, where 153 patients were evaluated, of which 64 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The objectives the study set out to achieve were; to determine the thyroid stimulating hormone and thyroglobulin serum levels in patients classified as tirads 3, 4 and 5 undergoing fine-needle aspiration; to define thyroid stimulating hormone and thyroglobulin serum levels after Thyroidectomy; and finally, to correlate thyroid stimulating hormone and thyroglobulin serum levels after surgical removal of the gland. The results were tabulated and statistical tests such as the Chi square, P-value and Z-value of proportions plus the interquartile relationship were carried out and presented in statistical graphs. Processing this information enabled us to determine that thyroglobulin is highly significant in the diagnosis of differentiated thyroid cancer as it presented standard deviations of 7.82 and a P-value of: 5x10-14 (0.000000000000005), the value of chi2 = 19.13. In the case of the thyroid stimulating hormone, it too was found to be highly significant with standard deviations of 3.10 and a P-value of: 1x10-2 (0.0019), the value of chi2 = 0.5818. Finally, by comparing both results, we can say that thyroglobulin has a higher predictive value than the thyroid stimulating hormone. Keywords: differentiated thyroid cancer, thyroglobulin, thyroid stimulating hormone, ultrasound classification TiradsEl determinar relaciones biológicas o moleculares con neoplasias específicas constituyen hoy en día en Oncología un valor agregado importante para el tratamiento individualizado de los pacientes con la finalidad de detectar en etapas iniciales procesos oncológicos por lo que el relacionar con técnicas menos invasivas es un pilar fundamental en el diagnostico; es por ello que el presente estudio se determinó la relación de la concentración sérica de hormona estimuladora de tiroides (TSH) y tiroglobulina (Tg) antes y después de la tiroidectomía y saber así el valor predictivo de estas hormonas frente al cáncer diferenciado de tiroides; para lo cual se empleó un método de estudio cuantitativo, retrospectivo, de cohorte transversal, donde se evalúo a 153 pacientes, de los cuales 64 cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión; los objetivos que nos planteamos fueron conocer los valores séricos de hormona estimuladora de tiroides y tiroglobulina en pacientes con clasificación tirads 3, 4 y 5 sometidos a punción aspiración con aguja fina, además conocer los valores séricos de hormona estimuladora de tiroides y tiroglobulina luego de realizada la tiroidectomía, finalmente correlacionar los valores séricos de hormona estimuladora de tiroides y tiroglobulina luego de realizada la extirpación quirúrgica de la glándula. Los resultados se tabularon y se realizó pruebas estadísticas como Chi cuadrado, valor de P, Z de proporciones y relación intercuartílica y se presentaron en gráficos estadísticos, el procesamiento de la información permitió determinar que la tiroglobulina es altamente significativa en el diagnóstico de cáncer diferenciado de tiroides por presentar 7.82 desviaciones estándar y un valor de P: 5x10-14 (0,000000000000005), el valor de chi2= 19,13. En el caso de la hormona estimuladora de tiroides es altamente significativa con 3,10 desviaciones estándar con un valor de P= 1x 10-2 (0,0019), el valor de chi2 = 0,5818. Finalmente comparando ambos resultados podemos decir que la tiroglobulina tiene mayor valor predictivo que la hormona estimuladora de tiroides.
