Summary:This research is framed on FABLES TO EVOLVE THE SCOPE OF IDENTITY AND AUTONOMY IN CHILDREN AGED 5 TO 6 FROM THE EDUCATIONAL UNIT LAURO DAMERVAL AYORA OF THE CITY OF LOJA, IN THE PERIOD 2019-2020, to ascertain whether the use of fables develop a scope of identity and autonomy of children aged 5 to 6; the methods used were: the scientific, analytical, synthetic, and descriptive; among the techniques and instruments used were a survey aimed at 3 teachers of the subelementary level, and a monitoring card to 26 children subject to the research, diagnosis made it possible to verify the constraints lying ahead, where 64% of the children were at the stage of evolvement and, did not acquire their identity and autonomy; after implementing the alternative proposal based on creative and innovative fables that had the didactic and moralizing intention with their moral, which enabled children to interoperate with their peers; at the end of the session, it was noted that 77% of the sample managed to raise their autonomy to an acquired level. In conclusion, the usage of fables as a didactic strategy contributes to the development of children's identity and autonomy.
