Ամփոփում: | Food is the determining factor for good growth in humans, especially in infants, being one of the fastest periods of growth that has, the body needs adequate amounts of both caloric, protein, immunological and others in order to cope with this growth process in an appropriate way. Objective: To establish the relationship between the type of food and its influence on infant growth in order to strengthen the processes of sensitization to nursing mothers for their decision is based on the results of the investigation. Patients and methods: We had a universe of 132 infants , 78 infants air sample belonging to the Health Area No. 1 in the city of Loja. In 55 breastfed so exclusive, 9 received Breastmilk Substitutes Combined Power and 14 to which they are performed anthropometric survey. Statistical analysis included the variations of The descriptive statistics (Cronbach'salpha , analysis of variance , the media , standard deviation) . Results: Over 70 % of infants is normal state of emaciation 7% of exclusive maternal breastfeeding and risk of overweight 22% of fed breastmilk substitutes overweight and 7% of established receiving mixed feeding and 4 % of exclusive maternal breastfeeding . Conclusion: Considering the BMI as an indicator of increased sensitivity for growth in infants shows that breastfeeding is the best choice to have a high percentage of normal ranges and very low in risk ; results compared to those fed milk formula and combined feed , where the ranges are higher risk infants.
