Sumari:The innate errors of the metabolism (EIM), are a heterogeneous group of congenital illnesses that at the present time many of them can be detected in an early way by means of the sieve neonatal. Their object is to discover and to treat serious and irreversible illnesses that cannot be detected to the birth, appropriately not even with a medical very careful revision. The results revealed that most of the interviewed mothers refers to have a regular knowledge based on the test of the tamizaje neonatal with 46%, the age of the mothers is in more percentage among the 16 to 20 years with 27%, the grade of instruction of more percentage is the secondary with 47%, and the occupation with more percentage it is Domestic Chores with 41%.In relation to if the mothers had an appropriate information on this test, 60% refers to have had an appropriate information. Within the positive and negative attitudes in relation to neonatal screening in doubt 22% of this test, 76% and 2% acceptance refers refuses to perform this test.The mothers refer to know the complications in 76% which manifest an or two metabolic illnesses that can take place in the growth of the one he/she drinks.
