Izvleček:The present work entitled "FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS AND ITS INFLUENCE IN THE REHABILITATION PROCESS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CATAMAYO ALCOHOLIC GROUP AND THE ROLE OF THE SOCIAL WORKER" focused on the need to investigate how family relationships affect the rehabilitation of former alcoholics, seeking to improve family relationships that favor the rehabilitation of the members of the Alcoholics Anonymous Catamayo group, where the family is an active part in their rehabilitation process promoting quality recovery. The methodology used was based on the scientific method supported by the inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic and descriptive auxiliary logical methods, through the use of techniques and instruments such as observation, focus group and survey that allowed to fulfill the objectives set in The investigation process. For this study, 15 members of the group were taken as informants, a structured survey was applied as a collection tool to rescue truthful and real information from their recovery process. The application of the focus group tool to the investigated group and their relatives was necessary for the respective analysis and interpretation of data. The main findings obtained in the investigation determine that family relationships have a decisive influence on the rehabilitation process being mostly negative since they produce an imbalance in the former alcoholic's withdrawal, in addition the members consider that strengthening family relationships would help to maintain abstemious by empowering them to rescue affection in a successful way to fight to reach the proposed goals.
