Metodología por descubrimiento en el área de Ciencias Naturales como principal medio de aprendizaje en los alumnos del quinto grado de la escuela de Educación General Básica Luis Humberto Benítez Costa, de la ciudad de Loja, periodo 2017-2018.

The present investigation that talks about the Methodology by discovery in the area of Natural Sciences like main means of learning in the students of the fifth degree of the school of General Basic Education Luis Humberto Benítez Costa, of the city of Loja, period 2017-2018. The general objective was: To implement the methodology for discovery in the area of Natural Sciences as the main means of learning in the fifth grade students of the Luis Humberto Benítez Costa General Education School, in the city of Loja, 2017-2018 period; The research is quasi-experimental, the type of study is mixed and the methods used were: descriptive, analytical, synthetic, inductive, deductive, and as instruments an observation and survey sheet, with a population of 19 students of the fifth grade of EGB and the teacher. Through the instruments used it was possible to find shortcomings in relation to the activities carried out in the area of Natural Sciences, which were analyzed and overcome through methodological strategies by discovery. It is concluded that the application of learning by discovery facilitates the understanding of contents, so it is recommended to put this methodology into practice in all areas of knowledge.
