| Résumé: | Burnout syndrome is a set of symptoms of emotional exhaustion that affect health and work performance. A resource that the individual can use in a stress situation are coping strategies, which avoid, reduce or solve problems at an individual or social level, in order to maintain emotional balance. The main objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between Burnout syndrome and coping strategies. For its execution, an exploratory, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design was carried out, in which 80 teachers from the Faculty of Human Health of the National University of Loja participated. The instruments used were the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Stress Coping Questionnaire, which were applied through Google Forms tool. The results indicate the absence of Burnout in the majority of the respondents and the positive re-evaluation strategy is the most used.
