Sažetak:The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) represents a public health worldwide problem. Considering the importance of the topic, this research was proposed: to determine the influence between Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyperactivity and low academic performance in the children of the "Santa Juana de Arco La Salle" Educational Unit of Santa Juana of Cariamanga, as well as: Identify the frequency of children's academic performance according to age, to know the low academic performance with respect to gender, to determine the frequency of ADHD in the sample and describe the main learning problems they present.The study it was quantitative, descriptive, analytical, cross-sectional and prospective study that included a sample of 58 students from 5 to 12 years, whose parents and teachers applied the Conners test to catalog ADHD. The qualifications of the first chemistry of the children in order to know their academic performance were reviewed. The data obtained were processed in the Microsoft Excel program the same ones that allowed to identify in this investigation that the ADHD is one of the factors that was related to the low academic performance.
