| Резюме: | Social skills are essential for harmonious coexistence and effective social interaction, facilitating an adequate expression of feelings, emotions, ideas, etc., on the other hand, it allows the child to express himself and understand others, to seek a solution before a problem and feel part of a society. The objective of this research was to determine how cooperative games help improve social skills in children of initial level I, of the Dr. Reinaldo Espinoza Aguilar School of Basic Education in the city of Loja, school period 2021 - 2022. In its development methods were used: analytical - synthetic, inductive - deductive and statistical that allowed to fully develop the research; Within this order, a descriptive research scope was used because it was based specifically on the phenomenon that caused the difficulty in the child's social skills, detailing main characteristics, in such a way that it helped to answer the research question posed; the technique used was the interview addressed to the classroom teacher, who provided information on the level of social skills of the children, the instrument applied was the value scale adapted from Lacunza, Castro and Contini, applied to 15 children from 3 to 4 years old , evidencing in the initial evaluation that 93% of children did not have developed social skills, after applying the guide based on cooperative games, it was noted that 87% improved in their interpersonal relationships. Concluding that cooperative games with pedagogical playful purposes improve the development of social skills that are essential to acquire and use appropriate behaviors and later express themselves safely before socialization.
