Samenvatting:The stage of the elderly people is considered as the last stage of the life, it leads to the loss of the organism ability to adapt itself to the environment, it includes a set of biologic, psychologic, and social processes related to the life after the mature age, it also involves previous pathological aspects, psychological earns (experience) and social earns (active aging) in the advanced stages of life. The decrease of the functional backup ability is the principal characteristic of the aging physiological process that the human being suffers and it is evident in the moments that it is necessary. The purpose of the current research was to determine the frequently nursing diagnoses in the elderly people. It is a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and observational research, 80 elderly people participated in the study. The technique used for the collection of data was the Marjury Gordon guide of functional health patterns, identifying the pattern of elimination as the most affected, with a frequency of 13% followed by the cognitive-perceptive with 7.5% with an 8.75% is placed the health management-perception and a 7.5% auto perception - auto concept, The most frequent nursing diagnoses are the memory impairment, that affects the, 33.75%, followed by the impairment of urinary elimination present in the 18.5% with the 15% the hopelessness diagnosis and the last is the nutritional imbalance with 13.75%.
