And finally, a non-probabilistic convenience sampling was carried out. Where 15 companies were chosen that had complete information and that, in addition, were the most representative in terms of continuity throughout the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. During the development of this research, an analysis of small and medium-sized companies in the commerce sector classified under codes G45, 46, 47 in the city of Loja was carried out. The main objective was to evaluate the financial impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on these SMEs, focusing mainly on the analysis of financial management. To achieve this objective, the financial results of the years before the pandemic were compared with the years after, covering the period from 2019 to 2022. The financial statements were used to examine each financial indicator and evaluate how the pandemic It affected each of them. This research gave results on how Covid-19 affected commercial SMEs in terms of financial strength. Based on the findings, strategies were developed to guarantee the financial stability of these companies in the future.

Based on the findings, strategies were developed to guarantee the financial stability of these companies in the future.La pandemia a causa del Covid-19 ha traído consigo impactos negativos no solo en el sistema de salud, sino que también en los sistemas comerciales y financieros; es por ello, que el objetivo principal de la presente investigación fue analizar el impacto financiero que la pandemia por covid-19 ha causado en las Pymes de la ciudad de Loja, sector comercio durante el periodo 2019-2022. Para dar cumplimiento a los objetivos propuestos se planteó distintos tipos de investigación, métodos y técnicas aplicables a cada estudio, teniendo un enfoque mixto que integró tanto elementos cuantitativos y cualitativos. De la misma manera se obtuvo como base una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva. La población de estudio incluyó un total de 380 Pymes del sector comercio de la ciudad de Loja. Y por último se realizó un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Donde se eligieron 15 empresas que contaban con información completa y que, además, eran las más representativas en término de continuidad a lo largo de los años 2019,2020,2021 y 2022. Durante el desarrollo de esta investigación se llevó a cabo un análisis de las pequeñas y medianas empresas del sector comercio clasificadas bajo los códigos G45, 46, 47 en la ciudad de Loja. El objetivo principal fue evaluar el impacto financiero ocasionado por la pandemia Covid- 19 en estas Pymes, centrándose principalmente en el análisis de la gestión financiera. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se compararon los resultados financieros de los años anteriores a la pandemia con os años posteriores, abarcando el periodo desde el 2019 hasta el año 2022. Se emplearon los estados financieros para examinar cada indicador financiero y evaluar de qué manera la pandemia afectó a cada uno de ellos. Esta investigación dio resultados sobre como el Covid-19 afecto a las Pymes comerciales en términos de solidez financiera.
