Shrnutí:This research work was carried out in order to evaluate the quality, extent and productivity of oocytes which were obtained post mortem through follicular aspiration and Slicing method. Fieldwork was conducted at the Animal Reproduction Laboratory located at Universidad Nacional de Loja from April to July 2015. A total of 200 ovaries samples obtained at the Municipal Slaughterhouse were processed. The sampling was evaluated throughout the follicular aspiration and ovarian slicing techniques. The ovarian Slicing technique had better results compared to the follicular aspiration procedure, with a 55.49% of retrieved oocytes; regarding quality, the follicular aspiration technique obtained more oocytes suitable to produce in vitro embryos with a 46.4%.
