Summary:The present research work entitled: THE USE OF DIDACTIC MATERIAL AND THE CLASSROOM LANGUAGE ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING WITH THE STUDENTS OF 5TH, 6TH AND 7TH YEARS OF BASIC EDUCATION AT "TCRN. LAURO GUERRERO" ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF LOJA CITY PERIOD 2010-2011; has as main objective: To research the influence of didactic material and classroom language on the learning of English Language of the students of 5th, 6th and 7th Years of Basic Education at "Tcrn. Lauro Guerrero" Elementary School of Loja city?, period 2010-2011. To carry out this research work, we used scientific, descriptive, analytic–synthetic methods, which helped us to investigate the problematic that exist in the institution and give a logical explanation based on observed facts. To make possible the collection, organization, analysis and interpretation of the results, we applied a survey for teachers and students and we also made a direct observation of the class, in this way we were able to prove or disprove the hypothesis and elaborate the conclusions with their respective recommendations. Finally the main results of this research are that: There is little use of didactic material by part of the teachers what affects the learning of English language in the students; in the same way, the classroom language used by the teachers is not suitable to improve the learning of English Language in the students.
