| Summary: | The present study called: "Analytical Cubist Sculpture: Representation of the body movement and symbolism of the "Folkloric Dance of the Saraguro Culture" performed by the National Folkloric Ballet Intikillaraymi of the City of Loja", has as its objective: To represent the body movement and symbolism of the "Folkloric Dance of the Saraguro Culture" through the analytical cubist sculpture in order to pay tribute to the identity and customs of a people, expressed through dance. The study is based on several techniques and instruments that validate its qualitative methodology, expressed in its theoretical and practical foundation. It is important to describe that bibliographic research was used in order to understand the trajectory and connotation of the Cubist movement. The work by its artistic nature is practical; and, to create the works is based on three stages: 1. The analytical stage: pre-production or preparatory phase; 2. post-production or finishing stage. The work deals with the presentation of four sculptural works under the modality and techniques of Analytical Cubist Sculpture, considering as referents two works of the masters Picasso and Archipenko. Likewise, the research work concludes that Cubism as an artistic current remains active due to the great importance that the movement has had throughout history; likewise, the artists Picasso and Archipenko are a source of inspiration for contemporary artists, this has allowed the artistic representation of the dance of the wake and burial of the baby girl in order to reflect the cultural identity, traditions and mysticism of the Saraguro community. |
