Ավելացրեք ցուցիչ | Ամփոփում: | This research was carried out at the "El Arenal" Sulphurous Waters attraction; the general objective was to determine the environmental impact caused by wellness tourism and the specific objectives were: to analyze the current situation of the attraction, identify the environmental impacts and design a visitor management plan (VMP). The methodology used for the first objective included a literature review, interviews, surveys and direct observation; for the second objective, the Garmendia methodology was applied to identify environmental impacts and the importance matrix was used to evaluate them; and for the third objective, the VMP was designed based on the diagnosis and the environmental impacts identified. As a result of the first objective, the physical infrastructure is in good condition but lacks potable water and wastewater treatment; in the biophysical environment, the affected factors are water, air, landscape, soil, flora and fauna; in the socioeconomic factor, the attraction generates sources of employment; with respect to visitors, most come from the Alamor, El Arenal and Ciano parishes, their ages range from 15 to 24 years old and their main reason is rest and recreation. The second objective identified a total of 16 negative impacts and 7 positive impacts; the environmental factors severely affected are: water, soil and landscape, and to a lesser extent air, flora and fauna; in the third objective, a PMV was designed containing objectives, diagnosis, threats, regulations and guidelines. In conclusion, it is affirmed that wellness tourism generates environmental impacts in the attraction Aguas Sulfurosas "El Arenal". |
