Čoahkkáigeassu:Alcohol consumption is a widely studied social phenomenon due to its effects on health, behavior and cognitive development of individuals, especially in vulnerable groups such as university students. In this context, the National University of Loja, in its face-to-face modality, hosts students of various careers, including Electromechanics, who, in their formative process, may be exposed to a variety of factors that affect their habits. The objective of this degree project was to analyze the impact that alcohol consumption can have on the students of the Electromechanics career at the National University of Loja, current period. In this way, it was intended to identify the levels of risk of consumption. Through the AUDIT test and data analysis, we sought to obtain a comprehensive view of how this practice influences the university life of students. For this purpose, an exploratory quantitative methodology was used, with a transversal non- experimental design and the study was carried out on a sample of 146 students of the National University of Loja of the aforementioned career. In the same way, a bibliographic record was applied to collect relevant information on the study phenomenon, and thus the application of a test to know the level of risk of alcohol consumption in students, also the design and planning of an intervention plan was handled
