總結:Vaccination prevents annually between 2 and 3 million deaths annually. The vaccination coverage has remained stable in recent years. However, each year there are over 20 million children do not receive vaccinations, and more than 1.5 million children under 5 die from preventable diseases. With this background it was proposed to develop research in order to meet the post-vaccine adverse reactions care in children under 5 who visit the health center type Chontacruz of the City of Loja. The study was descriptive. the universe was composed 102 mothers who came to vaccinate their children during the period October 2014 to May 2015. The survey allowed to collect information, to comply with the objectives set was used for data collection. The results showed that among the adverse reactions presented children / as most frequently were: fever, crying, pain, redness of the skin at the puncture site and irritability. In relation to the care and post-vaccine adverse reactions most mothers know about them. Within the care offered after the implementation of vaccines it was identified that all mothers are rested and placed cloths smaller percentage of cold water on the place that the vaccine was applied. Specific care has to have a fever most mothers go to the health center, antipyretic drugs administration, apply a smaller percentage means treasuries (cloths cold water, fluid intake, light and bathroom linen). To control the pain, redness of the skin at the site of application of vaccines, mothers apply cold compresses or hot water and the use of ice. Most mothers received information, education and care should provide children / as after the application of the same, most of the information was provided by the nurse, to a lesser extent by the doctor and nursing assistant.
