Sammanfattning:In this research work the following objectives: To determine the prevalence of Oestrus ovis in goats slaughtered in abattoir of catamayo canton, according to sex, age and origin, assess the symptoms present in the animal before slaughter, classify the different stages of larvae found in positive animals and their location, and share the results with students cycle III. The field work consisted of taking data goats slaughtered on Thursday and Friday with a range of 15 to 20 goats slaughtered because they are the days when as many of these are fished, work q was carried out for eight weeks the overall prevalence is 64%, according to whether the macará canton presented 67% prevalence, Calvas 64%, the catamayo canton 53%, according to sex 66% of females were positive, while male the 61%, goats 4 to 5 years of age showed a prevalence of 69%, 3 to 4 years 64%, and 2 to 3 years 61%, goats presenting symptoms before slaughter correspond to 73.5% by larval classification, LIII state recorded a prevalence of 48%, 30% LII, LI 22%, by larval location in frontal sinuses 66%, 29% in horns and cornets 25%.
