Riassunto:The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of the application of plant growth- promoting microorganisms on the development and yield of broccoli (Brassica oleracea L.). The practical phase was carried out at the Quinta experimental La Argelia of the National University of Loja, a completely randomized block experimental design was used with six treatments and five repetitions, obtaining a total of 30 plots, the treatments used were T1 (Witness), T2 (Chlorella), T3 (Azotobacter), T4 (Pseudomonas), T5 (Azospirillum) and T6 (Chemical), each experimental unit constituted a plot of 3 m2. An ANOVA-type statistical analysis was applied with the respective Tukey normality and homogeneity tests at 95% confidence, in all variables; The results indicated that T6 (Chemical) and T3 (Azotobacter) had a direct positive influence on broccoli plants in variables such as height, number of leaves, diameter, weight and yield, statistically significant differences were found compared to the T1 treatment ( Witness), likewise the implementation of microorganisms improved the physical and chemical properties of the soil; Therefore, it is evident that the inoculation of plant growth-promoting microorganisms is a viable alternative for the development of the broccoli crop and thus good production compared to chemical fertilization.
