| Summary: | This research is framed in TRADITIONAL GAMES TO IMPROVE THE GROSS MOTOR, IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT ALONSO DE MERCADILLO SCHOOL OF THE CITY OF LOJA, IN THE PERIOD 2019-2020, for its development a general objective was formulated: To determine the impact of traditional games on the improvement of gross motor skills in elementary school children. The methods used were scientific, inductivedeductive and descriptive. Among the instruments were: the survey for Teachers and the Scale for the Evaluation of Psychomotor Activity in Preschool of La Cruz and Mazaira; applied to a sample of 30 children aged 5-6 years The research was based on two variables: traditional games and gross motor skills, showing initially that 31 % of the children obtained a low level in aspects related to gross motor skills; and only 9% reached a high level. With the execution of the proposal the magical world of children, based on traditional games, favorable results were obtained, reducing the low level from 31 % to 11 % and raising the high level from 9 % to 45 %, concluding that the games Traditional skills strengthen motor skills by promoting the integral development of the child and facilitating their movement, perception, memory, thought and language, so it is suggested that high school teachers follow up on the activities proposed to strengthen gross motor skills, learning, security and independence |
