| Sumari: | The family is the first social core in which the individual interacts and form his/her personality becoming in the base of support, wellness and security that the individual needs throughout their life cycle. Therefore, the research had as objective to implement a school for parents in order to strengthen the family performance in the sixth-year, parallel “A”, children’s home, at Miguel Riofrío Basic Education School Nº 2. Descriptive study, of cross-section, quasi-experimental design, based on methods: scientific, deductive, inductive, analytic, synthetic, historical, logical, comprehensive, diagnostic, of modeling and statistical. It was used the assessment questionnaire of family function, applied to a sample of 15 parents selected by present dysfunctional family problems. The results showed that the 60% of parents presented a dysfunctional emotional involvement and the 53.33% dysfunctional communication patterns (pre-test); after the application of the intervention proposal, the 20% presented a dysfunctional emotional involvement and the 33.33% dysfunctional communication patterns (post-test), the proposal is validated through the coefficient of linear correlation of Person reaching an amount of r (xy)0=0,77 making evident a high positive correlation. Thus, it was concluded that in the majority of girls’ and boys’ home investigated the family disjunction was manifested; hence the school for parents strengthened the family performance. |
